Introductory Remarks to Rev. Ahn’s 40-Day WorkshopI would like to provide an overview of the history and background of this content.In about 1986 or 1987, Father declared his intention to have Rev. Ahn produce and teach this material worldwide. During those years, I served as the CARP district leader in the southwestern United States.

Every month, Father held a three-day leaders’ meeting with all church leaders, as well as business leaders, ranging from state leaders to district, national, and continental leaders.In this particular meeting, Father strongly criticized the worldwide educational department. He insisted that teaching only the Divine Principle and

Unification Thought as an academic education was inadequate to serve as the foundation of the Providence. Father scolded the leaders and emphasized that in the early years, he had directly educated members on the application of the Divine Principle to raise them to become sons and daughters of God who could subjugate Satan, fulfill the Three Blessings, and establish the foundation for their eternal life.

Father had given them detailed internal guidance to support their victories in fulfilling the Providence for this period after the Second Coming of Christ. He was adamant about correcting the leaders’ failure to teach members the content he had provided for a successful path of faith.He declared that to address this, he was assigning Rev. Ahn to present a 40-day workshop that would include these crucial perspectives and the internal guidance that Father had initially taught. To compile the content for this workshop,

Rev. Ahn reviewed all the audio tape recordings of every speech and talk on internal guidance that Father had ever given. After spending several months gathering this content, Rev. Ahn delivered it all to Father, who studied it in detail and corrected any errors that he found. Father then returned the content to Rev. Ahn as his approved final version. In particular, what had been lacking in the standard education on True Father’s life course was the complete absence of detailed information regarding Father’s deaths and resurrections.

Through his torture in Heung Nam prison, Father defeated Satan, compelling him to surrender all that he had stolen from Adam through the fall in the Garden of Eden. This victory serves as the foundation for Father to substantially transform the blood lineage from Satan’s lineage back to God’s lineage. This is the central issue for establishing the Kingdom of Heaven on earth, “as in Heaven,” and the long-awaited grace that accompanies Christ’s return. With this change of lineage, humankind will live without sin, sorrow, or suffering, witnessing the end of the era before the coming of Heaven and the culmination of God’s salvation process.The content of this 40-day workshop, which you currently possess, was presented at the Aetna Springs conference center in Napa Valley, Northern California, from December 27, 1988, to February 4, 1989.Rev. Ahn’s teaching method involved writing out the entire lecture for each session in full on three large blackboards. Participants were required to copy down every word as it was presented on the blackboards to ensure accuracy before each lecture.
